Kaj Pile

Kaj Pile is a 2024–2025 Iranian social comedy-drama directed by هاتف علیمردانی, featuring a cast that includes الناز شاکردوست, نعیمه نظام‌دوست, سروش صحت and نیما شعبان‌نژاد. The film opened in Iranian cinemas on 23 Mehr 1404 (mid-October 2025) and quickly became one of the year’s most talked-about releases, drawing both popular attention and controversy.

The story centers on سیما ثروتی, a successful actress whose deep mistrust and resentment toward men shapes her worldview. Convinced that the men in her life are the root of her troubles, she lives in a state of emotional rigidity and cynicism. However, after an unexpected event, Simā undergoes a surreal transformation that challenges her assumptions and forces her to confront her own identity, biases and fears in ways both humorous and thought-provoking. The narrative blends social critique with elements of psychological and symbolic storytelling, exploring themes of gender, identity and personal growth.

Notable for its striking visual choices—especially the unusual male-presenting makeup worn by Shakerdoost—and its mix of satire and introspection, کج پیله sparked discussion in Iranian media and among audiences about its portrayal of relationships and societal norms.
