Majnoon

Majnoon is an Iranian war drama that tells the story of Mehdi Zeinoddin, a young and highly intelligent student whose life takes a decisive turn during the Iran–Iraq War. Instead of pursuing academic opportunities abroad, he chooses to serve his country and quickly rises to become a respected military commander. The film focuses on his leadership during the Kheibar Operation, particularly on the strategically critical Majnoon Island.

Through a blend of personal moments and large-scale battle sequences, the narrative portrays Mehdi not only as a courageous soldier but also as a thoughtful and compassionate individual shaped by faith, duty, and sacrifice. His relationship with his brother and fellow fighters adds emotional depth, highlighting the human cost of war alongside acts of heroism.

Visually, Majnoon combines intense combat scenes with reflective storytelling, aiming to honor a national figure while exploring broader themes of loyalty, martyrdom, and moral conviction. The film serves as both a biographical tribute and a patriotic war epic, emphasizing the resilience of those who fought and the ideals that motivated them.
