پپرونی برای دیکتاتور

Pepperoni for the Dictator is an Iranian comedy-drama theatrical production directed by Ali Ahmadi and produced by Khosro Ahmadi. The play revolves around a seemingly ordinary family gathering that gradually turns into a tense and revealing confrontation. During the gathering, a discussion about the unusual name chosen for a newborn child sparks disagreement among the guests. What begins as a humorous conversation quickly develops into a series of arguments, misunderstandings, and unexpected revelations, exposing hidden tensions and secrets within the family.

The production combines sharp comedy with elements of drama and social commentary, using everyday conversations and family conflicts to explore themes of relationships, personal beliefs, pride, and the influence of social expectations. Its title and storyline create an ironic atmosphere in which ordinary domestic situations take on broader and more symbolic meanings.

The 2026 production features a well-known Iranian ensemble, including Pejman Jamshidi, Mohsen Kiaei, Roya Miralemi, Khosro Ahmadi, Farideh Sepah Mansour, Ali Ahmadi, and Hadis Biabangard. The play has previously been staged with strong audience interest and returned to the stage in a new production. In September 2026, it was also made available through online theatrical cinema, introducing the performance to a wider audience.
