Raha

Raha is an Iranian social drama directed by Hesam Farahmand and starring Shahab Hosseini. The film premiered at the Fajr Film Festival in early 2025 and was later released in Iranian cinemas the same year.

The story centers on Tohid, a middle-aged man who lives a quiet and modest life with his wife and children. Their ordinary routine reflects the struggles of many urban Iranian families who try to maintain stability despite economic and social pressures. However, their fragile sense of normalcy is suddenly disrupted when an unexpected event throws the family into crisis. This turning point forces them to confront difficult choices and emotional tensions that challenge their relationships and sense of security.

As the narrative unfolds, the film explores how each member of the family responds differently to the turmoil. Tohid struggles with the responsibility of protecting his loved ones, while others are pushed to reconsider their values, fears, and hopes for the future. Through intimate performances and realistic storytelling, Raha portrays the resilience of ordinary people facing circumstances beyond their control.

Blending personal drama with broader social themes, the film examines family bonds, moral dilemmas, and the psychological impact of sudden life changes. By focusing on everyday characters and emotional authenticity, Raha offers a poignant look at how fragile stability can be and how strength can emerge in moments of uncertainty.
